Palestinian refugees in greater need of relief as Syrian crisis escalates, warns UN official, UN News Centre

At a press briefing on the affect the Syrian crisis is having on Palestinians, the Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNWRA), Filippo Grandi, "noted that out of the $1.5 billion UN-wide humanitarian appeal put out in January, $90 million were, in fact, destined for UNRWA's relief efforts over the next six months." Moreover, Arab countries are denying Palestinians' refuge in their countries - they would rather keep Palestinians in harm's way. Otherwise, what tool would they have to demonize and destroy Israel? Now we know how the priority to everything-Palestinian at the UN works not only to the detriment of Israel, but human rights victims worldwide.
