UN's notorious Francesca Albanese exposed for ignorance about antisemitism

“When the word "antisemitism" was coined, it referred to anyone who was not European and came from the Middle East. Jews were considered Semitic—a Semitic people—by the Nazis and Fascists of last century's Europe. And so, since they were by far the most numerous such group present in Europe, antisemitism became conflated with the concept of anti-Judaism; today, however, it is understood as hatred toward Jews. You mentioned that the concept of antisemitism is actually broader. Indeed, regarding the time people were taken to the gas chambers, there are accounts of life in the concentration camps noting that Jews were referred to as "Muslims." Thus, there was a racist hatred directed at the non-white, the impure, and the non-Christian—a hatred that eventually crystallized into antisemitism as hatred toward Jews…”
