On September 17, 2015 - in a 56 to 42 vote, Senate Democrats prevented for the fourth and final time an up or down vote on the Iran deal.
Forty-two Senators prevented the 60 votes needed for cloture to bring the deal to a vote.
This was despite the fact that the bill proposed simply insisted on the release of Americans Jason Rezaian, Robert Levinson, Saeed Abedini, and Amir Hekmati to the custody of the United States, and Iran's formal recognition of the State of Israel as a sovereign and independent state.
Here are the names of the Senators who chose Iran over Israel, and President Obama and their party over American national security.
